how do i get rid of those edges when the object move?

i filmed it in 16:9 aspect ratio...and i want to letterbox it and put it to dvd
my project settings are.....

NTSC DV (720x480, 29.970 fps)
Field order: Lower Field first
Pixel aspect ratio: .9091 (NTSC DV)
Rendering Quality: Best
Motion Blur: Gaussian
Deinterlace method: Blend fields

is there something i did wrong with the project settings?

i renderd the file as Uncompressed .AVI

WHATS WRONG?! please help!!
i need to get rid of those jagged edges!!

Nothing is wrong. This is interlaced video.

On a PC monitor it will look goofy on a tv it will look smooth as silk. If you are rendering for a PC change your project settings to progressive and render your video to progressive and you will have super sharp motion images.

Project settings
File properties, change field order to progressive and choose your frame rate.
Just choose the 24p template if you want it to be 24p. You can save you a 30p template as well.

I always render my dvds in 24p, they render 10 times faster and look smashing.

Render your fished video using the 24p dvd arch mpeg2 for 24p dvds.

Also, make sure that the text and the outline color is NTSC safe. Vegas will give you a warning if it is not. (reference the Yellow text with Red border in clip one)

i renderd the video......with the dvda template...24p video stream.............i play it back.......no audio.............im not havin a good nite....lol i waited 2 hours for it to render and it only rendered the video...crap....which template has the dvda 2 template in 24p WITH AUDIO? thanks.

actually, the red flaring and blockyness has nothing to do with interlaced video, it has to do with the DV codec. You can apply a chroma blur filter with a horizontal blur to get rid of it before rendering to mpeg2.

Yes. The DVD Architect template has no sound for the MPEG-2. You render the sound as a separate AC-3 file. Use a loop to make sure you get exactly the same area on your timeline, then make sure the video and the audio have the same filename. When you drop the video into DVD Architect, it will automatically bring in the AC-3 file for the sound and sync it up.

This will save you TONS of time when you get to the DVD authoring/burning stage.

Yes, jubal is correct you will have to render audio seperately and it will speed up DVDA render times hugely. I agree with scharky as well but it usually goes away when you render to mpeg2 or anything other than a avi.

You will see what I mean when you render it out. But if you want to experiment render with a chroma blur and without to mpeg2.

quick question....with the ac-3 rendering.....i go to render new track and i look for ac-3 render in the options..and i dont see it anywhere..is there a speacial area i have to go to, to render ac-3 audio?
