Hello all,

I am here because I need a monitor. :) While I would love to have a lot of bells and whistles on that monitor, what I *REALLY* need is something 5" or larger and that can do an actual 2.40:1 or 2.35:1 box. Perhaps with a shaded area. I would prefer it be SDI if possible.

If it matters, I will primarily hook it to my BMCC, but it will likely also see use on my EX1, my Nikon DSLRs (HDMI converters), and perhaps other cameras.

I have been looking at doing anamorphic for my next project with PL Mount plus Cooke Lens rentals or similar but I think it's just a bridge too far for this. And shooting the BMCC will give me plenty of resolution even with the crop for this project. I had hoped to see something like this on the Atomos recorders, because the added functionality would have been terrific. Recording a proxy alongside the RAW masters. But if I can't get there, then I can't.

So, based on experience, what might work for me? Or what questions do you need me to answer to arrive at possible solutions?

Thanks much.

Do you know if any of the other Atomos recorders offered this feature? I just saw that the Marshall's offer it, so that's a possibility on the table.
