Got M-audiodelta44 soundcard recently to go along with my M-audio Bx5a monitors. Running Vista Ultimate 64 bit (yeh yeh i know...soon get win7). i7 processor, 12gb RAM. Also have the latest Drivers for my soundcard from M-audio site.
OK...since i got it ive been having trouble with pops, crackling and distortion of the sound. i double checked if it was the monitors by carrying them to a friends and testing them there. They are PERFECTLY fine. So it resides with the software. Went on the site and they have several troubleshooting things. One of which is increase the buffer...and another is make sure speedstep (overclocking feature) is not on. Tried both these and still nothing. There are more which i havent tried as yet...but i'm just wondering if anyone had this problem with a similar setup and what did you do. Its damn frustrating to have these really nice monitors and can't utilize them well.
