Please see attached photo. How do I connet this lite panel to the light stand. I've tried the Bogen Clamp, and a couple of C-clamps from a local hard ware store. Maybe one of you "lighting Egineers" can help a dude out...
We need some more to go on. Whatever it is it looks to be about 2 x 2 foot or so. I have no idea what the back of it looks like, how heavy it is, what material / construction there is. Is this some kind of LED panel? We need to know everything before we can suggest something. Most likely you'd be putting something on the middle of the back of the unit. We have to know what your access to that area is and how sturdy it is to know how well that will work. Thanks for a bit more information.
Its 42x42 3/4 PVC tubing with a Calumet lite panel. Either a Strobe or Tungsten lighting will shoot thru it. Got the idea from a series of Tapes Dean collins made in the 80's
Is that frame made from plumbers pipe? I have found these dont hold well in grip heads, but my bought alloy frame does.
If you dont need to angle the frame buy a large bolt thats half thread and two nuts. The bolt must fit into the top of the light stand and hit the tightener. So drill holes in the frame, screw one of the nuts to the bottom of the thread, then place the bolt - so head downt - through the frame and use the other nut to tighten it to the bolt. Then put the bolt head into your lightstand and tighten.
