Need some feedback for a war film/drama,

I need some feedback for a war film I produced/directed/co-dp'd/edited/spfx/sound design/ whatever else/ heck, I even cooked lunch for the cast and crew. So you get the point.

Anyways, I'm looking for some feedback, And help with a shot that needs some motion tracking, and rotoscoping. It's the grave stone scene that has the guy kneeling in front of it. I need it to look like the stone thats shown a close up of several minutes further into the scene. This is my second attempt at asking the community for help. I know people are busy with their own gigs. All I can do is ask:)

If anyone would be so generous to help me out, I can only offer a credit for your work, and though that may not be enough, I understand, thanks any.

I do have a deadline, as this is going to be submitted to the Woodshole film fest, I need to have it in my may 1st at the latest. Sorry to ask for help, then put a deadline on it. Just wanted to be up front. thanks

Oh, and the first few cuts between the dialogue at the cemetary, has been fixed, its choppy on this version. cuts to quick the first few seconds.

Overall I thought you did a really nice job. I liked the combat footage, and the moment the guy jumped on the grenade was done really well (highlight of the piece for me). The acting was also pretty good. My biggest gripe by far was that the conversation scene really needed some motion and different camera angles to keep it interesting. A 4 minute two person, over the shouler conversation is too long in my opinion, especially when your entire piece is only 8 minutes. I would have liked for them to walk around, kneel down, anything really. Also I wish the guy with the sunglasses had taken them off at some point. Having the sunglasses on at all times puts him at a distance from us.

Overall nice job. And sorry I can't help you!

Thanks for watching Jg, I agree with all you said. I was telling a friend earlier today that I wished I had time for another take from a wide angle, Because I feel the same as you, it's a bit to long without it. I think I can cut it down a bit. I apprecite you watching, and for giving me honest feedback:)

Almost 70 views, and only one person was kind enough to take the time to watch and give some honest feedback. Well thats 100% better than the last time I asked for some help on this board. lol. I shouldn't take it personal. But after 1,600 posts ( most of which I tried to hlp others) that some of the folks would maybe do the same in return.

I totally understand no one offereing to hlp with the visual effects, I cant expect anyone to donate their skills for nothing. And didn't really think anyone would. But to be honest, I would have thought more than one kind member would take a look and offer some suggestions on how I can improve the piece. I know it needs work, (grade, audio, shot comp, ect...) I have looked at it so much, fresh insight would have been great. After asking for help twice on the same piece, and only getting one response shows me I haven't been well recieved around here...I suppose i'm not the right personality for the community. Not much else I can say. I do appreciate all I have learned from the site. thanks

Put it back on...I'll lend you some eyes.... there is just so much here, that sometimes things get lost. People may like something but then off to the next piece of gear around...etc.

Also today is NAB day, lots of eyes glued to that....

Your insight on working with different types of cameras....is very helpful, and I have agreed with many of your posts. Stick around:thumbsup:

This is not the most visited section of the forum either. This is the first time I've been in in a month. I would actually possibly be willing to do the work on the shot, depending on the amount of work that needs to be done. I can't see it as it says the video has been removed. Sorry no one else responded. Is this 'The Bridge'?

I am interested in looking at your project, however, out of sight, out of mind. You removed your clip...so, there in lies the rub. PM me, and I'll get a notice at my email address if you still want further responses.
Regards
Vince
