Hi,
I have a family member who is very ill and we wish to record some 3d videos of them. Since the family will all be together over the Christmas period I would dearly love to get something in the next few days that will do the job. The problem is that I can't afford to spend a great deal of money on a new camera. So I'm looking at the potential to buy something and resell it in a couple of months and if I can buy it second hand to begin with that is even better.
I currently also have a Canon HF11 camcorder and have access to a m4/3 Olympus GF1 - but I don't believe there is a 3d video solution for either of these.
I've seen the bulky 3d addon for the panasonic cameras and also the more compact and well reviewed Sony HDR-TD10. I really think that unless I can find a used Sony then the £900+ price point is too expensive for me even with the intention of reselling - I can't be without that amount of money for so long.
I'm wondering about cheaper options. 90% of the footage will be taken indoors - so things that are very bad in low light are to be avoided. Can anyone make any suggestions? I've looked on the 3d cameras section of ebay and seen mention of such models as:
Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3
Sony Bloggie 3D MHS-FS3 8 GB Camcorder
Vivitar 790HD 5.1MP 3D Video Camera
How do these rate?
In terms of playback I am looking for something that can be played back on a 3d TV. I don't currently have one - but I will be content knowing that I have the footage for the time when they eventually become standard - or at least knowing that the video is in a format that will be able to be converted to a future standard.
Any advice very much appreciated.
Thanks!
