NEED SLOW MOTION on CLIPS

i am editing a short project and need to make certain clips in slow motion. The footage was shot in 24p on the dvx100a. I tried to solw it down by using the speed option in final cut pro, but the results didn't look that good. It looked bad. can anyone share with me the best way to speed and slow down a clip shot at 24p on a timeline 0f 23.98 with 2:3:3:2pulldown removal.

I found the only way to get acceptable slo-mo's from FCP is to use 50% speed. I use After Effects for everything else. If you don't have AFX, take a look at this: http://proapptips.com/tips/article.php?story=20050706012856432. It explains how to use Compressor 2 with it's optical flow tech to make good slomo's. Shake 4 uses the same technology so if you have that, use Shake for slo-mo's.
