I am getting random audio drop outs on the system. Wondering if anyone knows a good repair shop? It also appears the receiver no longer scans for available frequencies. I checked with Sony for a repair, while they can repair the unit they want 155 for diagnostic which if that is all would be fine. what happens if they say they need a $100 circuit board or more. Is it worth repairing a 9 years old unit. It is not lectrosonic quality. I am going to buy the new Sony system today, but still would like to repair this if it is reasonable.

Also another topic I bought the OST LAV mike great mic but the LAV CLIPS only go one way - wondering if there are universal clips for it. Guess I will reach out to OST

Thank you
Larry

Thank you, Larry
If you have the OST 801/802, the Tram (TR50) type clips can be rotated not to mention all the OEM Tram TR50 clips and mounts can be used. For the TL40, I have clips that attach to the mic's cable. That said, I do not use clips much anyway and usually hide lavs on the talent using surgical tape or the other mounting accessories from Rycote or Bubblebee.

Thank you will order them from B&H - I also use Bubblebee - have not tried Rycote but will

Rycote 'Stickies' with 'Undercovers' and 'Overcovers'. 3M Transpore or other surgical tape is a necessity.

Will buy them - also se what OST said about Tie Clips:
Hi Larry,

I have checked with the factory.
The tie clip for 801/802 can be turned. Check it. It may be a little tight.
Sorry for the confusion.

Dave.

I tired it and it worked - sometimes I can get away with clip on the speaker in an area which hides it as long as there is not much movement and it seems to work - other times I use bubblebe and will order the your suggestions - thank you
