Need Help

I just got my 2nd display for my mac G5, I want to use it as my playback, but still keep the small window playback as well . can't find my manual.. can anyone walk me threw how to use 2 displays ...one for editing one for playback

by playback, do you mean the canvas window or do you mean having it as a monitor for output?

as another monitor for viewing. is that possible?

well you can run a 2 monitor set up, and drag the viewer or the canvas onto the other screen... you can choose it to act as an extension of your first monitor or to mirror your promary display in the mac system pref's.

So there is no way to have on my main monitor my viewer and canvas and on my 2nd display have a full screen Playback (viewer)?

There should be an option in the view menu. Go down to the external video selection.

Go to View: Video Playback: Digital Cinema Desktop Preview-Full Screen.

That should do it for you.
