Hi I have a stereo recording of a voice over but it should have been recorded mono, because it has a left and right channel in post but only the left side has sound. I want to have the sound come out on the left and right but if I pan the stereo signal to the right it cuts out the left( side with sound) out and i hear nothing can someone help me out, cause I dont want to call the actress back in so i can do another vo.:dankk2:

If you have sound forge you can copy the left channel onto the right channel and "wa la" stereo sound. If you don't have it like that PM me and I will do it for you.

There is a simple way to fix this Im sure, you dont have to record anything again.

What audio software are you using?

adobe audition and premiere pro I also have acid 4.0
If Premiere Pro is like FCP you should be able to select the audio, then "turn off" the stereo linking. Having done that, delete the offending track. Next, duplicate the "good track" then relink the stereo. It's very simple in FCP and from what I've been told, PP has been modeled after FCP.

i am having problems retrieving thiss post in the search so I have to keep reposting to see the messages

in premiere theres a duplicate left to right sort of command that copies the audio on one side of the stereo track into the other side (giving you dual mono basically).

Premiere (not sure about pro, but the earlier versions) doesnt do stereo split, just duplicate.
