Need help with odd footage interp. ASAP

Working on my little sis' wedding video, pieced it all together quickly because it's been a month and a half and everyone wanted it right after the wedding.

I burn a DVD using media encoder, to DVD Lab pro and burned it. There's a bit at the end where I'm walking around with the camera after the wedding, and the damn footage is incredibly choppy!

The rest is peachy, but this is not. A quick frame by frame reveals that while the rest is running 24p (shot this 24PA, btw) the footage at the end has a repeated frame pulldown!

I really don't think I hit the scene switch, but that seems to be the only answer! I'm only a strict time limit here. My father has literally told me to finish it and send a copy out to my great grandparents so they can see it before they die. It's a reasonable request- they're really old.

So I need some help with this one. What are your ideas on what went wrong and how can I fix them? Throw anything you got at me, I'd love to test everything out as that's how I get better at Premiere anyway... Running Premiere Pro 1.5.

Another thing- I'd like the DVD to be 24p because some family members have HDTVs, and I personaly can easily see interlacing on a standard TV. Bugs the hell out of me.

Thanks in advance!

Wow, I'm not sure I can take the pressure - I mean "before your grandparent die!" Hopefully your grandparents are jus "dieing to see it..."

I'm not sure how to solve the frame cadence problem [if there is one]. You might de-enterlace that shot on the timeline and re-render.

But if the situation is as dire as you suggest an easy and quick fix would be to cut the scene of you walking around out all together and send that version to your grandparents. At least they would be able to enjoy the "peachy" part. Or you could just leave it the way that it is, I doubt that your grandparents would even notice the problem and if they did I doubt they would care.

The memories are far more important than the technology...
