Hi, am not sure if this is an editing question or cinematography. either way, any help would be greatly appreciated as i am out on a ship, shooting for the next 4 weeks.
I normally shoot in the 720p/24pn mode (on a Pannie hvx200) cranking the frame rate to 60 when I want that slowed down effect. When I'm shooting underwater, it helps a lot to use overcrank. My problem is (!!!) - the camera won't save that framerate and once it's locked up in the housing I can't reach the menu button. For shore dives I just keep the camera on the whole time but I can't afford to do that out here with no battery changeout options during the day.
Recently I had the bright idea of just shooting in 720p/60p mode. Which looks like crap when I log and transfer the footage, because the project imports it at 23.98 for some mysterious reason (ie- I've changed the capture and sequence settings, opened a new project, etc), and only imports that subset of frames. Any advice?
