need help with explosion

what do you mean do you want us to make a better explosion than yours?? And how would we get the clip from you?

I can send the AE comp with footage etc. I have a static shot with and without the car - no 3d model of my car unfortunately (no $$ to buy one)
 
Well...first of all it doesn't make sense. Cars don't just blow up, and there would be something left. I would think that if you want to sell Carfax you may want to have the wheels fall off or doors or something like that. And why on earth does she hit him with her purse? Just questions, but you will have to sell it to someone.

no time to help you out other than to suggest some simple things you can do ..as an easy change, if you change the blending mode of that explosion to screen or add it will likely look alot better, but id reccomend axing the fire on the ground afterwards. if you want the car to be gone, maybe just a smoke trail left by the car with some much smaller little fires..maybe on the wheels left behind (you can use a full size spare to warble to the ground in its own shot, and use the same spare for others left behind comped in to make a set of 4.. if you dont have a spare wit the same rim, just shoot it from the back, or as its already warbling flat so you cant see its face down underneatth it), and you can roto the car and lauch it up in a spiraling twist amidst the explosion with some glow over the explosion on an adjustment layer so that it wraps the car a little as it takes it away with the blast. if you wanted to check out a local toystore you might be able to find a similar or same model vehicle in about a 1:18 or 1:16 scale that you can key and comp into the blast as its blown away for more 3D realism than just moving the roto'd car image.
