Need help with creating a DVD

I am trying to create a DVD of a soccer tournament I recorded. I completed my sequence in Adobe Premier Pro 2 and am ready to create a DVD of this sequence so I can copy and pass around to parents. What is the best method to do this in Adobe?

Also, the movie I created from the sequence came in at around 10gb file size. This is far to large for a DVD. How can I optimize the file size without losing any quality. My footage settings are:

720 x 480i
29.97fps
44kHz audio
45 minutes in length

I created a Microsoft DV avi file but this looks to be to large. What settings should I use to fit this film onto a DVD without losing any quality?

Lastly, in my completed avi file the footage stutters every so often and the audio pops. This does not happen when you view the footage in Adobe Premier. Would this show up on the completed DVD? How can I get rid of this?

My computer is an Intel Pentium M 1.6GHz, 512MB of RAM.

honestly i think your pc is slow...but it shoudl be dooable.


like i told another member... change the audio to .mp3 format(thats the simplest)

export your aduio as .wmv, take it through a encoder of some sort that can make .mp3 out if it. Put the mp3 back in the timeline and try to make a DVD again from it. Using pro's media encoder dvd feature.

Otherwise it might be a good idea to get a new computer rig.
