Need help with CineX

ANybody knows any tutorials on capturing RED footage using CIneX software??

I'm looking around the tutorials and most tutorials only show you how to do color grading.

I will be editing on FCP btw, do I need any kind of plug-ins to edit the footage?

I know people don't normally discuss about RED camera in this forum, but I can't seem to post anything in reduser.com.

Appreciated if you can help me out here : )

"Well my friends, it’s taken a while to get this organized, but our new online course for the Scarlet & Epic is now open.

Our members will have 3-4 days to pre order it before anyone else, and there will be a discount that will cover 90% of your first term’s cost. How about that?! (More will come on this later). I hope to do something like this every couple months. I know that for a lot of Scarlet owners there is not a lot of cash for accessories, so we'll be looking for ways to get you outfitted at the lowest possible cost.

• As per your request. We will now also be including software tutorials. We will cover REDCine X Pro top bottom. Also DaVinci, Adobe, etc.

• ALL TUTORIALS made by us will be downloadable. (That’s 98% of them)
  

• We will have “Guest Instructors” people who are experts in their field and have cool tutorials to share.. These may also be available in other places, but we’ll host them as well so you don’t have to go searching for them (These will be in ADDIITON to our weekly updates).

• The RED101 will be updated online for those that need to learn it. You can get a membership that gives you access to all three cameras. That cost $36.95 per month. We had hoped to include it, but right now that’s not possible. Bummer.

Short response to using Redcine-X pro:

This is Red's free proprietary .r3d debayer processing software. You open r3d clips in Redcine-X, do at least a one-light grading pass, and export the results to whatever encoded format you want to edit in. FCP does not support Red files natively, you have to export footage in Pro Res from Redcine-X to edit with FCP.

This is a fundamental difference between a raw format camera and a video camera. You have to "develop" the digital negative first before it is usable in another video format. Premier CS5.5 allows direct import of RED files to the timeline and has the processing tools to grade them built into the .r3d plugin.
