Need help with an effect

[krish]

Hi, I need to creat an effect where four girls are passing a yellow skicky pad note around. The Sticky note has a clip of manhattan rolling on it. The last girl gets the note and the note expands to a full live clip of Time Square.

I tried motion tracking in Vegas but it looked pretty ordinary.

Would appreciate any help. Please fee free to point me to some example links of such an effect.

Thanks again,

-kris

I did something similar in AE. I had a cell phone that was "futurized" into a video phone. I just taped some green paper where the screen was, filmed the scene, then keyed out the green and added the video. Worked great and looked pretty cool. People were asking where I found a phone that could do that.

Start reading for 4-Point tracking.
Basically you define the 4 corners of the pad note and they return 4 different tracking values for each frame where each is applied to the Corner Pin effect on your solid layer.

thanks Steve, I started looking at 4 point tracking and that seem to be the way to go. When i place a clip on another clip for tracking, is it possible to change shape of the over layed clip? in other words is it possible to chnage the shape besides just increasing or decreasing the over all size of the clip?

You can do that with the pen tool or one of the mask shapes.
