Hello all,
I've recently returned from Africa a few weeks ago and have started to go through all my footage. I've got quite a bit of photo and video to work with, and it should be a fun project to work on. However, I need help setting up a work flow.
Currently I have everything organized in lightroom 4. Pictures and photos are setup in different collections. I know my photo workflow, but am still learning my video flow. A good chunk of the footage will need some work in After Effects (mainly for stabilization). Then I will start piecing together my overall video in Premiere Pro where I will use Plural Eyes to sync up audio and probably Magic Bullet Looks to do grading and such.
What's the best way of working with all this together? With photos I can manage most everything from Lightroom, beginning there, doing some work on the RAW files, edit in Photoshop when needed and export to a folder to be used in Premiere. However, with video, it seems like I will have to change this. There's no similar way (that I know of) to edit the video in LR by sending it to After Effects. Then exporting that video after it has been in After Effects to import into Premiere will eat up quite a bit of disk space I believe.
My current thought is to instead access all my video from Adobe Bridge, and from there to send video to After Effects for editing. Then if I create one project that has all my stabilized/corrected clips in it (as individual sequences), I should be able to import those sequences into Premiere. But that sounds kind of like an odd way to get around it.
Perhaps I am missing something? Can anyone share their workflow with me for a situation such as this? I'm not even sure if my question makes sense.. thanks!
