Need help with a counter!

OK, I've been trying to pull this off, but I can't find a way to do it and make it look right. I'm trying to make a counter in AE that increases rapidly in value, from 6,789,876,456.89 - 9,654,234,543.90, for example. Basically, the numbers are in the trillion range, some in millions, and some in thousands.

Here is what I've tried. I used the Numbers plug-in in AE, but that only lets you go to 30,000. I tried combining mult layers with the numbers plug-in, but the problem is that when they are increasing, they won't increase properly, i.e. in sequential order.

So, can anybody out there think of any good suggestions/tutorials. I might try this in Motion and see if I can do it there, but I would rather stay in AE the whole time.

AE interpolates the numbers and you can't see them all because your keyframes are little duration for the numbers you want, so you can't see them all.

You can also use javascript for the values.

How would I use javascript? I'm assuming through expressions, could you explain further?

if you create the "number" number text effect, you can add that expression to the value/offset/... property

Ok, I've tried every expression that makes sense and it won't let me go over 30,000.00...AHHHH!

I can find any way of making this happen, does anybody have any other suggestions?

Yes. Use as many decimal places as you can, and roto the decimal sign.

Thanks, I'll try that. I can duplicate the layers and put them together to create a number in the trillions, but they all don't move at the right speed. I can't believe there is such a limit on that effect, I think I'm going to email Adobe and find out why!

that is another solution, I have tryed it, but there might be sync problems. ye, that limit is pretty interesting. It might be add because you can use it as time&date too, and adobe did not want any converting problems.
