Need help with a cool effect

[fredrik_hvass]

Hey,
I found this site with great AE tutorials, but I have a question

http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae52_e.html

look at step 3, how do I create the light flare, is't in AE or in Photoshop?

Thanks

[kai]

I'd make it in PS and just bring it back in

[fredrik_hvass]

okey, but how do you create it in photoshop? And what kind of format should I save it as? JPEG?

Thanks

I would export it as a PNG file. It gives you a transparent background when you import the image in AE.

[surf]

save it from the web

but AE has an effect like this. it creates a line

just add a little track, and you are ready with the new SW

Just create it in a photoshop doc, and import the layer from the psd right into AE. No need to export it.
