Need Help! Weird problem capturing in Apple Intermediate Codec

This issue just seemed to happen lately and I've never had this problem before. I shoot with a Canon HV30 and always capture in Apple Intermediate Codec. It always splits up the clips clip by clip for me, but now it is randomly not splitting up the clips at all and just giving me one huge video file. I've been troubleshooting a lot and can't seem to figure it out... can someone please help me out. Any help is greatly appreciated because I can't save any of my clips onto my hard drive because the file sizes are way too big.
 
can someone please answer this thread and help me out I'm troubleshooting this everyday and asking around, but no one knows why it's doing this. I just want to be able to capture and edit my footage. Please... any help is appreciated.
