Ok, i just finished a project in vegas, moved it over to DVD A, then proceeded to burn away. I burned 35 copies from a spindle of dvds i had (prodisc brand), then i had to order more same brand new spindle. I burn 35 more copies, send them all thru my epson printer, and then give them all to my client (the head football coach) its a highlight video. Anyways i get a call later from the coach saying none of them work. He was only partially right 26 don't work, and 44 do work. Since the numbers aren't exactly 35 and 35 im thinking its not a bad batch of dvds. So now im thinking it is the burner. Im using the old pioneer A04. I just don't understand why the burner is working well enough to burn the disc to where they all play the dvd intro media, and all the special features i have added, it just messes up the highlight video part. Any ideas what the crap is going on? Cause i feel like an idiot.

Burn another one on different media. If that works, then it was a batch of bad discs.

Check the discs ' and see if you can read if they are from different manufacturing lots.

Ok, i thought about that, but don't know exactly what to look for. Also, i downloaded the update for dvd A last night and installed it. now when i go to burn a dvd i recieve (not responding). Another thing about dvd A, it has always done this when i press the burn dvd button the screen sits there for few moments until i click anywhere on the screen then the mouse pointer turns into the hour glass and finally moves to the next screen/ menu. Any ideas on either of these two topics? And last can u recommend a few dvd burners? i am thinking of updating to a faster dual layer burner.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Here is what happen, open DVDA2 start new project add files add one page for info, prepare and burn one disc. Insert blank after first disc is done click burn. Well when DVDA2 is done burning my drive will not open and both disc are trash. Shut down computer and try again, disc played fine. I have always had trouble from DVDA 1 and now 2 doing something wierd during or after burning. So I try to use Nero more.
