Need help picking a Pola

I have a matte box now, and I need a new Pola that will fit there. It's gonna be a 4-1/2" Pola, which aren't cheap, and I'm wondering if anyone has a brand suggestion. And since I'll be dropping $400, should it be an 85, or a "white water" Pola, or a warming Pola, or what?

What? A polarizer is a polarizer, isn't it? At least I would keep it that way. I would buy separate filters for separate uses. You won't need an 85 - that's for film use.

I paid $185 for a glass Tiffen 4x4 polarizer. Everything else is crap. Buy glass. Then buy some NDs, and some ND grads, and your done. I'm not a big fan of warmers and colorization through glass.

OK. B&H sells 3 brands of this size of filter: Schneider, Formatt, Tiffen. I guess they're all about the same quality?

Also, I'm buying a couple of glass ND grads. Can I get away with non-glass simple ND's?

Sorry, I'm a tiffen fan.

You can do non glass (like cooke) but to me their longevity is suspect. I personally do not want plastic in front of my glass.

Schneider makes the very good True Pola series 4 1/2" drop-ins. I've seen some instances of linear polarizers (as a standalone, not part of a circular) causing magenta color cast in prism systems or 3CCD cameras.

Not always, but I've seen it.
