Need Help - P2 Log & Transfer

I sent a friend of mine a folder of a P2 card capture; i.e lastclip.txt and the CONTENTS folder intact. He has FCP 6 but has always only used it to capture DVX footage and work in SD. This was his first time trying to use Log and Transfer. When he goes to "Add Folder" in the L&T window and goes to the P2 directory, nothing shows up.

I also have FCP 6, and I have only worked in HD with L&T, and I could trasnfer the same folder with no problem. I had my friend reset his Preferences to 720p, but it still didn't work.

It has always worked for me, for so long I don't remember what might be different between our systems that he can't get it to work?

Is there a setting or something we're missing? Any ideas?
 
I just read about that in the HVX forum. I don't have it, but maybe he does. thanks for the help.

Added: it was FX plugins. I don't use them, so had no idea about the conflict. that's what's great about this forum; the breadth of info and the willingness to share - thanks again Shane.
