Need help importing Firestore files...

You guys have been great moving us to the tapeless world. Thanks.

Here's our second challenge: We shot all day (with the suggested settings) and have a hard drive full of clips.

When we hook up the Firestore, we can see the MXF files on the drive, but when we open Final Cut Studio to import, all the files are grayed out and can't be clicked on and/or imported.

1) How can we import the files into Final Cut Studio to see and start selecting?

2) How do we move all the clips straight onto the hard drive (and pick anf choose from there)? We are in the field and are using a laptop for a first look at these clips and don't have a ton of room on the laptop.

Did you execute the "Organize P2" step?

Yes. I executed the instructions (including the "Organize p2" command).

If you successfully completed the "Organize P2" step, then the FireStore should now have a CONTENTS folder which is organized like a regular P2 volume. You should be able to go into FCP6 and use the "Log & Transfer" function at that point...
