Need help getting a good VHS look

Hello all,

I've been working on a project that combines lots of VHS footage with 24p footage taken from a DVX 100 and would like to have the digital footage look somewhat similar to that from the tapes. There are a few tutorials I've seen online but none of them look that great, does anyone on here have experience with this kind of an effect?

if you have the facility, why not capture your DVX footage to vhs tape, then re-digitise it back again? that outa work.

Down res the footage, convert to 4:3 crop ratio, this should work.

oh yes, the down convert to SD 4:3 crop is a must!
