Hi,

The pictures tell all.

Please have a look and let me know if you know what these ends are called or where I can find a 2FT. or 3FT. extension,
with M. on one end and F. on the other.
Shadio Rack was clueless.

Thank you,

Steve

Note that there are DOZENS of nearly-identical "inverted phone" power connectors like that. They have various diameters of the outer and inner parts. All the Radio Shack storefronts in my town have a big bundle of "test connectors" with letters of the alphabet. You can take your battery (or whatever gadget) down to Radio Shack and try all the different connectors until you find the letter code of the one with the right combination of internal and external diameter.

The connectors are typically specified by the outer and inner diameters in millimeters. I would not buy one that didn't have the explicit specification for both inner and outer diameter that matched my mating plug.

These connectors used to be pretty cheap, but last time I went to Radio Shack for one, they wanted almost $8 for something that probably didn't cost 25 cents to produce. But I suppose that we are paying for the overhead of the storefront and the sales-droid behind the counter.

I took it into Radioshack yesterday. They said they had nothing. Possibly just an inexperienced clerk.

Anyway I measured again and found one on eBay. It's 5.5. I also got a more accurate caliper. :-)
