Need help constructing a Green Screen

To save money I need to construct my own green screen arrangement. I can probably purchase appropriate material at a fabric store. I assume that that a Kelly green material would work as long as its surface was not shiny.

However, I would also like to construct a frame for the screen that is very easy to set up and take down, and that is not too bulky to lug around. I’ve seen tents that you can throw in the air and they automatically pop open on the way down. Something like that would be great, but I’ll settle for something less fancy. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

1" plastic plumbing pipe with right angle elbows cut to whatever size you need. Lace some elastic cord through the pipe, just like a tent rod....Sew in some velcro tabs around the 4 edges of your fabric and attach to the frame....easy peezy, lemon squeezy.

Of course if you have a budget then splash out on a lastolite Green/Blue Double sided disc. Folds down to around 1' diameter into a softbag and instantly pops up when you pull the thing out the bag.

Thanks. I thought of the platic pipe and velcro but not the elastic cord. Great idea!
