hey guys this is my first photoshop project, I've never done anything on it till now, well anyway we had to do a self portrait and use a scaned image of something, anyway i had this idea I'm just not quite sure how to execute it to well this is what I got the scanned images are the negatives I just scanned them and then made it look like film burn.

well anyway i need help can anyone give me advice like what to do better (and how to do it cuz I'm not that good with photoshop like u guys, but that doesnt mean I'm an idiot either) if you can write it i can do it.

I would really appreciat eit if anyoone could make some suggestions.

Looks pretty good.

Maybe blur the edges of the projector screen some, particularly the bottom. Look at the left edge of the frame around the screen and see how it is a bit soft? To sell the idea that the image is really projected, soften the edges of it so it's not so sharp, i.e., like the depth of field / focus was the same there as for the frame.

Use the bur tool. It's in the same spot as the sharpen and I think sponge tool. Adjust the opacity of the blur tool to make it subtle or not as you go over it. I would suggest a lower opacity which will require you to go over the edge more than once to get it blurrier and blurrier with each pass. This allows you to make fast quick strokes without messing up or doing something that looks really fake.

Also ... might add some noise to the screen. It's in the filters. Look how there's some grain and noise on the steps behind him, and on the wall around the screen. So some noise will help sell it as being a practical element.

Finally I think the film negative edges would be much bigger, but not sure on that.
