Need good soul to walk me through ACID - will give film credits!!

hi Guys,

As you know I'm trying to finish my film DEUCE OF SPADES and on tight deadline. Doing scoring right now, and using Cubase but it keeps malfunctioning with East West Gold orchestral samples... VERY frustrating. Thought I'd give ACID a try, see if it handles midi and that specific PLAY VST instrument better. But never used it before. Screengrab of working environment looks a lot like Vegas so i think I should be right at home, but I have only THREE DAYS to complete my last 4 pieces of underscoring. So I NEED HELP. Badly.

Is there a kind soul here willing to walk me via phone on how to set it up and start laying basic audio and midi tracks. Just the very basics will get me by.

I am willing to give film end credits THANK YOU mention :))

PM me ASAP< woudl like to install it and fire it up tonight or tomorrow morning.

Many thanks! Pass the word to anyone you think might be able to help.

Lay out and buttons are the same, of course I know ACID is not Vegas, but since I know cubase and vegas, should feel right at home. Principles are the same as cubase and layout same as vegas :).

Watched a U tube tutorial and seemed very easy to use. I just need to initially get set-up. Who here uses it? I need someone to walk me through setting up my ASIO (Motu) and input / output and need help connecting VST instrument (EAST WEST) to it.

I'm on a PC - Currently I had installed EW in the VST plugin folder of Cubase (thats the only way Cubase can see EW), but now I am wondering what will happen if I also install Acid. Will acid see EW in it's current address? Or does EW need to be re-installed in a specific folder of ACID? Can ACID and Cubase both see EW and Share it? (obviously NOT at the same time LOL)

Also I only downloaded DEMO version so I can try it. Is it fully functional, and if so for how many times? if it works well with EW I'll buy it, it's not that expensive.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED. Offer for film credits still stands :)

PS: I dont' need to do loops. Will use Acid for basic audio and midi track recording, nothing too fancy. few tracks of strings, cello, harp, you get the idea.

I used to use Acid, then switched to Acoustica Mixcraft. I found the loops and instruments to be better, as well as it being easier to integrate VSTi. It's only like $80 but it packs a punch
