Need feed back on Andromedia for DVX

Obin, Matthew Bennett and Virum,

If any of you guys have any feed back on this product please respond to this Thread.

1. Are you still using this product today, or have you moved on the more exspensive hardware?

2. I have a m2 adapter. Will this make shooting more difficult in the field?

3. What types of rigs do you recommend?

4. Does the upgrade and software allow me to record straight to my laptop in realtime while I am shooting, and if so is there a delay in the process?
 
I can't speak on the Andromeda since I do not have one. However, I think you know that using the M2 adapter will make things more difficult for obvious reasons.
 
I was ego searching, so I just now saw this.

I love it, I still use it.

M2 will be more difficult with or without Andromeda.

Rigs? I use a hand made steady cam; basically a fancy weighted pole my camera screws onto.

You can monitor the footage *almost* real time now, a very small delay, but not bad. Recording is "instantaneous" there's no lag. You hit the record button, and it starts going.

Rendering out into editable footage can take a long time.

My horrorfest short was 95% andromeda. The only reason I haven't filmed any more is because I haven't had time (way too much school and work)
