I need royalty free super cheesy elevator music and don't want to pay $100's of dollars like SoundDogs wants...anyone know of a cheaper source...I mean come on, it's elevator music!

Have FCP studio Suite?
there's a track called "classics" in the Associated Production Music Folder

Apple Loops for Soundtrack Pro / Associated Production Music / Classics Short.caf or Classics Long.caf

Also try - free sound project
http://www.freesound.org
search elavator music, muzak, cheesy music, etc.

If they do don't mention it since that would not be legal. As with all the royalty free music, you get a license to USE it not resell it or give it away.

My go to for this kind of thing is a program called Band-In-A-Box. If you get the latest with the sampled instruments it can actually sound too good, but the cheap version or just choosing not to use the better sampled instruments will let you generate endless variations in lots of styles. I'm pretty sure it's under $100. There are other Royalty Free Music sites that have some things but most of it is more oriented at ad's and "dynamic" presentations, rather than the put your audience to sleep elevator music. BITB is great for that. And BITB is multi platform.

Did you get it sorted? I did some super cheesy muzak for a short film last year and kept the copyright, so could license it out again. PM me if you're interested.
