hello.
i am asking this question for a friend, he uses final cut pro on a dual g5
he does all of his captures by watching the tapes and noting the in/out timecode points and then doing a manual capture using those points.
i asked him why he did this because it seemed so inefficent.
his answer was that he had problems where he would do a full tape capture and it would capture all the cuts as separate files no problem,
but when he would delete the misc. stuff that wasn't actual cuts for his film final cut pro would repeatedly ask him for those files/footage that he had deleted.
he tried evrerything and could never get the program to stop asking him repeatedly to locate that footage.
i'm a pc user but it just seems to me that there has to be a better fix other than to do manual capture.
so if someone could give me some guidance i can pass on to my friend i'd really appreciate it.
