In about 12 weeks I'll be working on a documentary for a documentary class I'll be taking.
How ever since I know students who have taken the class, they've told me what all I needed and the requirements for the film.
I've given it some thought and I would like to do something more on the touching side of life, I know its going to be really easy to screw this up if its not touching enough then I'll have failed at the idea.
Here is my concept, I live out in Tampa, Florida. I figured I would do Moffitt Cancer center / all children's cancer unit for a documentary. How ever the only issue I'm going to run into is the fact that I'll need to get this approved by the hospital, another issue we're going to have is that they're will be children in the video so each and every child will need a release form.
I'm going to need a angle that'll give me a leg to stand on rather then just asking for a release form on all children's hospital.
Can anyone give me some tips, pointers, etc. This will be my first documentary & I'd like to try to nail it out the first time. How ever I know this is a steep project but I figured I'd like to go big my first time round!
I'm a shooter / editor, ideas for scripts & angles don't come easy to a block head like my self.
- Thanks,
Joseph & Victoria
