Need Advice....

One of the local radio stations is about to sponsor an event and I have been in contact with them to do the video production aspect of it. I told them I would shoot the event then produce a DVD. They liked my idea and even said I could keep 100% of the profits when I had a product available. Now this was told to me in an email and I would DEFINITELY want to get that in writing on their letterhead. But the strang thing is that they want me to pay a Vendors Fee. I could see if I was going to to be selling some products the day of the event but I am going to be there filming. So is that a ploy to get over on me kinda like saying they want me to pay X amount then when I am ready to sell the DVD I keep all the profits? I am not sure but something sounds shady to me.

Any thoughts on this? The event is June 3rd so I need to act quick on whatever I decide to do.

If the "vender fee" is reasonable and its a good event AND they put it in writing that you keep the footage and the profits, it sounds like a nice deal.

The key is GET IT IN WRITING, contract or deal memo.
