need a mic

Reliable as a ever!

Every time I feel kinda bored or stressed with clients and such I know I can take a look on the 'Audio' board and have some fun.

Nothing like the same crazy questions over and over and, even better, the incredible answers our sound specialist give back to the community.

And all this time I've been scraping by with an MKH50 and 416!
 
Whoa Guys ! (& Ladies) - Bartoy just let loose the biggest secret of all. It's just amazing how 12 oz of something irish has the ability to VASTLY improve the sound of just about anything.

Dave - I've had much better luck with Fisher-Price than Radio Shack, but I gotta admit, Horsefilms Mister Microphone is looking awfully sweet. Maybe tie that little wire thingy sticking out the back to a helium balloon - the ultimate shockmount - and pass the Irish please:beer:
 
waha! its also a playback system! now you can even work music videos! (provided the song is on continual repeat on the radio!) :)

The part that cracks me up is the damn thing seems to be behind an acrylic display case...OMG don't touch this expensive piece of high tech gear!

What you don't see is the velvet rope surrounding the entire setup.:)
 
Looks great Horse... I m gonna get that Mr Microphone set up and use it like a lav... Ill just tape the miv to the persons body, just so it sticks out the top of their shirt... then Ill tape the receiver to the top of my cam.

Does anyone know the best tape to buy for this and how can I set it up to get it to sound like stuff at the cinema?

One question - did you find a source for flesh colored foam covers? I tried paint but that doesn't seem to be working too well . . . also the talent keeps bitching that the antenna tickles. gotta love 'em.
