I need 2 as soon as possible. I just found out that I have a bachelorette party that I have to film this sunday. Who can I talk to about getting those shipped quick?

Try ordering them from EVS -- they have stock on hand specifically to facilitate those who need 'em shipped right away.

Errr...please don't feel obligated to post any clips on the forum, altgough you may want to send Pookie a DVD. :)

if i did order them through you guys, how long would it take?

You'd have to ask Jarred -- he's the battery guy; there are issues because he can only send 'em out every so often, plus they come from Canada so there's always the potential that a shipment might get held up in customs, etc.

it just sucks cause' now through EVS I'm going to have to pay an extra $30 for 2 batts. :/

oh yeah, and no shirt. :0

But you save it on the shipping, right? It was my understanding that they're supposed to cost about the same, once shipping is factored in.

Yes once shipping gets factored in, they do cost about the same. They cost about $2 more with us in the end, but like Barry said, no customs, they ship the same day, you get them in 3 days or overnight if you like, etc.

alright, guess there's just one thing left for me to do.
*goes to EVS site*

Might as well get a UV filter while I'm there.

Yes.. EVS can get them to you more quickly than I can, unless your in Canada. Plus EVS has a whole whack of other stuff you can buy at the same time to make the shipping less of an expense :)

You dont get a free shirt with the order, but you get em a few days earlier.

I rush ordered my 5600s from EVS. I got the package today....I opened the box and there was my UV filter and a note that said the batteries were on back order. baaah!!

Fatbird, that sucks you didn't get your batteries in time..

I hope this reply doesn't get deleted because sometimes you really need batteries in a hurry and not for nothing, EVERYBODY SHOULD BUY THE DVXUSER.COM BATTERIES because your supporting this awesome DVX support group and highly valued research forum and not some random sweatshop in China...

But seriously, out of curiosity does anybody ever use the $45 5400mah Lemar batteries for the DVX100a that are readily available in the US for immediate shipment? And is their recharge cycle not as long as Panasonic or DVX User batteries? Not to sound like a jerk but I really want to know if i'm spending my hard earned money in the right way on no-name batteries and in the future purchase of my HVX200 next year should I be saving my money and order a grip of DVX batteries ahead of time??

Any opinion or reply would be appreciated. Thanks. Biz.

Boy sorry about that, did you talk to someone in particular, or was this an internet order? A salesman should have notified you of the backorder if you spoke to one... Did anyone from the internet department call you, or did the order get shipped out automatically incomplete? Please email me at rush@evsonline.com and provide me the details so that I can prevent this happening in the future. Also I will make sure to give you free shipping on the batteries.
