ND Filter Advice

I'm considering purchasing some "intermediate" ND square filters to use in some cases as an alternative to the two in camera ND settings on the DVX100B. Can anyone rec. a favorite brand, material etc. etc. I will be using these in my matte box slots btw.
 
Formatt and Schneider are two good brands; it just depends on the size and strength that you require.
 
Schneider have been fantastic for me, though a little pricey they are true film glass!
I think Tiffen has ND filters as well and they are also very good. Like stated above, it also depends on size, etc...

I've been happy with my RedRockMicro 4x5.65 filters. If you can use that size, you can get a .6 ND, a .6 graduated ND and a circular polarizing filter all using polished Schott glass for under $600...
