Naturalistic Set Design for Talk Show

I'm trying to come up with ideas for set design for a womens talk show. We dont have space or budget to build anything. I shot some test footage in a home and was trying to make us of some of the windows and natural light in the space as opposed to just shooting against a wall. I'd like there to be some depth in behind them. Does anyone have any tips or been in a similar situation? I'm thinking of going to a table more like the one they use on THE VIEW. and maybe using ND on the glass if we know we are going to keep on using that location. Or maybe not mix any natural light with the set at all. Any suggestions? Another idea might be to rent a trendy bar or something that has a cool lighting design in the background early in the morning when its not in use and use some kind of space like that.

What is the purpose for producing this show? For local programming? Network? Just for the fun of it? I have never heard of producing a show with no budget, with someone's house wrecked for an extended period, no plan or with no objective. If you can sell your idea, then raising a production budget is easy. Don't get you cart before the horse. Good luck.

My challenge is to shoot something in a home and make it look amazing. I was looking for tips from people who have use windows as a part of their set in a talk show/reality type setting. I was hoping for examples from filmmakers who have used/rented public or private locations that have been good sets for interview locations.

I didn't say there was zero budget, I said we didn't have budget to build anything.

Has raising production funds ever been easy?

I'm hired to shoot an interview... I just want it to look good. I can suggest to the producer how to make it look better. Horses and carts have nothing to do with it.
