Native Possible with Firestore?

No. Hopefully Focus will someday implement the ability to strip out duplicate frames from the incoming firewire stream, the same way Canopus and FCP do. Until then, the FS-100 only allows recording the full 60-frame stream.

Thanks, Barry. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that means only that I have doubled my file size, but it does not mean that I'm losing any data or shooting capability. Right?

And do FCP and HDLog throw out those redundant frames when they convert to QuickTime?

(Sorry about the cross-post to DVX-200. That was not intentional.)

You lose no capability, but it takes twice as much space to store 720/30p as it otherwise might, and 2.5 times as much space to store 720/24p.

Apple and Canopus drop those duplicate frames upon live capture, so even though they're seeing 60p data streams, Apple and Canopus are smart enough to know to ignore the duplicate frames and just store the relevant frames.

If Focus can do the same thing, they'd be able to store over four hours of 720/24p on their existing FS-100 right now, instead of just 100 minutes. It would be an upgrade well worth exploring.
