Native Footage Workflow and Export

I have the raylight plugin now for vegas 7. How do i set up a project for native footage? Do i still use a 23.976 timeline or 24 (film)? and how do I export. The footage is shot 24pN and needs to be exported as 24fps footage. I often use quicktime with the animation codec because I believe it is lossless (?)
Thanks

Native project for Raylight 720p would be 1280x720, 1.000 pixel, 23.976, progressive.

But, as is always the case with Vegas, you can put the footage on any timeline and Vegas will work with it just fine.

So even though Native footage is supposed to be true 24p I still need to use a 23.976 project?

And what types of encoded MXF files does raylight import? Im trying to import DnX 115 codec MXF files (from varicam footage) from avid symphany into Vegas but it wont open. Do they need to be encoded a certain way?

In the NTSC world any number should be divided by 1.001 :) so when one speaks of 24P it really means 23.976.

Raylight only takes DVCPROHD, DVCPRO50 and DV (DV25) MXF files, so the Varicam tape would have to be captured from a Panasonic deck through firewire to something that records MXF files, like a Firestore. Not absolutely sure that would work but it has a fighting chance.

Thanks, i figured it would still be broken down as 23.976 footage regardless of it being native.
The varicam footage was already captured with symphany. HD deck into avid encoded as MXF.
the codec was Avid's DNx115 MXF. It seems that raylight wont read that, so im trying to figure out how I need to encode Varicam footage in order to edit it within Vegas. Im guessing it just needs to be encoded with DVCPRO HD for raylight to read it?
