Hey fellow forum users,

Does anyone how to do those ads like what they do on National Geographic, where like they have still photos and it moves from one photo to a next in a 3D space. well not really a photo but it would be a person or something.

I think Alaska State Troopers is a good example of one.

I'll have to ask my roommate - he did a photo shoot for Nat Geo recently and the photos will be used for the same style of advertisement. He did a ton of layer comping I think.

I'm not sure how you would do one ground up...

But you could probably find templates that are similar and still as professional if you go around the web. But for making it up from scratch, you'll need to be great at motion graphics. Chances are it wasn't all done in AE, but some other programs. If it's all done in AE, then a lot of illusion must have been shown. It would consist of lot's of layers with various effects and changes to them, then comped together.
