Nanlite forza 300b

Looks like a new release but how the hell did we miss this one?

Also, I own the nanlite forza 200 and took the bottom panel off. I'll definitely be keeping it off any damp ground and mounting to the light stand as standard as much as possible. This isn't to single out nanlite, but I can't see any of these brands going above and beyond with build quality anytime soon because it would impact their major theme being low cost.

On the flip side, owning several copies which can act as back ups, as well as providing multiple units while working could be the way to go.

Either way as an extra option, it'll be great when there's a mini build quality revolution now that features, quality and output are moving along!

I own a Forza 60B and Forza 60(daylight). Great little lights. I have had my eye on Forza 300B, but the ballast... it would be great if Nanlite released a bi-color FS-series (https://nanliteus.com/collections/fs-series), i.e. FS-300B or FS-500B. Control dials and screen on the back of the fixture with no external ballast so it's self-contained, like a bigger more powerful version of the Forza 60B. And times when you need to go portable, maybe something like a Cine-VCLX or a lithium-ion portable generator could power it.

Yeah an FS-series version would be great as an option - the self-ballasted light head would be super fast and simple to set up if it's only going on a stand.

I'd still probably go for the separate head/ballast just to make it easier to stick in weird places, boom out etc.

If they made an FS version, you still may be better off buying another 300b with a handful of powerful batteries over the VCLX, it should still come in cheaper, plus you get another light. The VCLX looks solid and is more simple though!

FS-300 is easily the loudest light I've ever heard in its size but they're indispensable. Stoked they exist, I just wish their COB array was more fresnel-friendly.

I'll gladly buy more of just about anything Nanlite puts out, especially if they came out a FS300B.
