Naming a production/film company...(kinda sucks)

Kagan Media

There's a market research firm that specializes in the media (cable and broadcast TV, mainly) called Kagan Research, so google "Kagan Media" and you get a lot of hits on those guys...

I would think of something that resonates with you personally and work from there. EG, Aram came up with "Puffin Films" just because he likes puffins and thought the bird could be the foundation for a colorful logo... Then there's the whole idea of birds in flight, taking off, reaching for the sky and all that jazz to work with.

I wouldn't necessarily center it around a particular topic because even though you may be specializing in skateboarding/snowboarding now (I hope I got that right...), you may expande beyond that in the future. So pick a name that can grow with you.

ADD: Just thought ofone, googled it, got only two minor hits... Based on your location, what about: "Around the Bend Productions" ??? Gives you a lot to work with thematically for logos, marketing, etc.

i haven't seen one grab me yet however - here's where i'm at:

i actually don't want to use Bend in the name...wouldn't mind using Oregon or Central Oregon tho...

i'm kinda leaning away from using Stocks...people might think about the market or something - could be confusing...and the best one i could think of with it was Rising Stocks Films (cause the riders are young up-and-comers), but is kinda sounds perverted rogar-BigGrin(DBG)

i too saw that Kagan is heavily used already...i'm kinda looking for something that says "crew" because the group of riders will identify as part of it...this company will be their ticket too...if Swisher House wasn't a rap production company it'd be perfect...we all smoke tough - i mean c'mon it's Oregon baby!

I don't think that sounds perverted at all -- I actually think it's clever because it relates to the aspect of what you are doing now but without tying you down to a specific type of film; it makes use of your name; and the idea of your stock rising is a positive image... It's money!
