Shogun Assassin
great fun movie. better than I thought it be but jarred hess is 2/2 now so i can't wait for his next one.

POWER of an EAGLE.

napolean dynamite was okay the first time i saw. watched a second time it was a little funnier. i dont think it belongs on the 100 most funniest movies of all time though. very quotable movie.

now on to Nacho. i was expecting the same thing as Napolean, except with jack black. i laughed out loud at some of the movie but other parts just went by like, "oh that was funny". i loved those 2 lion things that they have to wrestle.

SPOILERS**************

I thought the corn cob to the eye was hilarious. and when black yells a little earlier on "get those corn cobs outta my face!"

and DEFINITELY SPOILERS

the end i felt that he fought better A) cause the kids showed up and so did the Sister to support him and B) because he fought as himself after the mask got taken off. he was truly fighting for the kids as himself, not as some guy in a mask. i thought that was very well done.

END SPOILERS

i wouldn't put it top 100 comedies either, but it was an enjoyable film

man you mad because you watched tokyo drift.

It couldn't hold a candle to nascar, but it was cool. I went out an wrecked my car after I saw it. F*%k it, "Freebird", dude. Can I borrow the "Probe"?

I saw Nacho Libre, didn't like it much. Enjoyable yes but that's as far as it goes.
I'm not a big Jared Hess fan, didn't much care for Napolean Dynamite.
Nacho had its moments but that's it, didn't laugh that much. I expected much more from Jack Black and Mike White, loved School of Rock but that was directed by Richard Linklater.
Jared Hess has his own style, go back and watch Napolean and Nacho and you will see he likes his actors to be in the centre of the frame. Maybe after his third film, I'll be used to that style.

I didn't see the movie nor do I really plan to..... There was only one line out of all the trailers I've ever seen for it that would make me want to go see it, and that's the recreation clothes thing were the girl says "they look expensive....". I can't believe anyone actually went to see this. Looks like one of the most stupidest movies ever.

25mil for something like that? Just Doesn't seem worth it.

P.S.: I can't stand ND either, whenever my aunt, mom, or brother watches it I leave the room.

I said the same thing about Napolean Dynamite. I was adamantly against it. But I was forced to go, and to tell you the truth it didn't seem funny at first, and then something funny happened, and I couldn't stop laughing. I reccommend you just try it and see what happens.

i saw nacho today... it is an OK movie, jack blacks facial expressions hold the whole thing together.

on another note, i noticed that the aspect ratio was 16:9, was this shot on some sort of high definition video, it also did not look very sharp, but that could have just been a lazy projecter operator!

no. why would seeing a movie in 16x9 lead you to believe it was shot in HD? not only are most movies 16x9, but its been the standerd for like, 60 years. It's so popular, all the technology manufacturers decided to also make it the the standard for HD.

According to this month's American Cinematographer, Nacho was shot 1.85:1 with Panaflex Millennium XL, Platinums using Primo Lenses on to 5279 and 5274 and that it did have a digital intermediate.

God, I feel so geeky now.

No more spoilers, I am going to see it latter today.
