It depends, but you should be able to get an exhibit pass for free. Hotels are pretty cheap this year.
I would go if you can, at least once. It's pretty cool for a couple of days. Who knows how much longer it will be around.

Went to NAB about 8 years ago, when I was on a radio program (got a free pass as an "artist"). It was cool, want to go again. But plan on a lot of walking, if it is as big as it was then.
But on the other hand, I work at the musical equivalent of NAB every year, NAMM. And as an exhibitor, it sucks. And I might be being sent to MUSIK-Messe in Germany next year as well.
I guess it just depends on what side of the booth you are on.
