NAB 2013 Not free this time?

I usually register this far out and get in free since I am a NAB Member but for some odd reason it's charging me $150 this time. Did I miss the cutoff for getting free passes?
 
Not sure how it works for NAB. For CES and InfoComm free registration passes for the exhibition floor are given out by exhibitors. Events and workshops still cost, but with a discount for members.

I registered back in September and as a past attendee it was free. I know I tend to get emails from various exhibitors with codes for a free pass. I don't recall seeing any yet. I think they tend to send the emails after the first of the year.

Did you try and register as an Alumni? That is how I registered.
 
Weird...

If you're still having trouble try to get in touch with some of the manufacturers who you know are going; they tend to have quite a few codes to go around.

Yes, I am an Alumni but it was still charging me $150. Will try again tomorrow. Thank you
 
Is there anything you can post publicly regarding the resolution (or if that's not possible a PM for me)? I'm also an alum and I think I've indicated that in the registration form, but I get the $150 charge showing up, so I leave at that point.

I noticed the same thing.
Agree to the $150 and head to check out. see if the $150 shows up in your check-out "balance due". If so add the code keylight has supplied.
 
Yeah. I booked my hotel for NAB! I agree about a thread for the show, so in the weeks leading up to the show people have a nice place to post their wants, desires, wishes, hopes.... And then after their show post their disappointments. :smile:
