NAB 2010: The man Redrock and Zacuto hate!

Hahahahaha. He was even wearing a Zacuto lanyard in his video. No competition in product quality. Affordable? Yes, but a threat to Zacuto or Redrock - Hell NO. Great starter kit for people who need something and can't afford to spend more.

I would stick with redrock and zacuto, because I know the quality of their equipment is vastly superior. The last thing I would hate to have to happen is to have the equipment downtime. Especially if your out in the field, very embarrassing. You get what you pay for.

How exactly do something like Rods have down time ?

The only piece of equipment I would go to a more expensive brand name for would be a follow focus because it has moving parts.

Everything else, I would go to a trusted supplier like indisystems, Jag35. They use the same materials as Redrock etc but they just have a smaller profit margin.

That cage looks great and I bet does the same job as the upcoming letus and Zacuto one for a much smaller price. Like I said, the materials the same, the profit margins are different.
 
Jehu is definitely good people. I have not bought any of his products (as yet) but lots of folks have sworn by them. Plus he’s keeping it real….price wise.
 
yea he's really moved up a lot since he started with the jag35 adapter a few years back. my favorite part about that cage is that you can extend the height with spacers. that way if you decide to shoot with a battery grip or 1dm4, you don't have to buy a second cage. one cage design, unlike Eason or CPMfilmtools, who have several to accommodate the different cameras. not taking anything away from those guys though, their stuff looks awesome too--and in about the same price segment.
 
Simply affordable equipment for rest of us who dont have that money like pros. Thanx god for these smart dudes! :thumbsup:
 
Jehu hacked my HV20 to add a flip switch back in the day. Helped out tons back when I was shooting mostly SGpro adapter footage on DVX/HV20. Ahh, nostalgia.
