n00b question (tried mulitiple searches...nothing)

Hey all,

I'm a straight n00b and had a question. I tried searching mulitiple times on the subject, but I don't quite know what it's called.

I want to know what the "DUN DUN DUNNN!" sound effect/music is called. I have no idea if there's a technical term. But it's the music that builds you up and then something scary jumps out. The best example I can give you is in this video http://home.comcast.net/~dogubomb/advwhat.mov Props to whoever made it. I'd just like to know what it's called and where you can get samples of this music.

I know what your talking about, though I didn't hear it in that clip. I have no idea what you would call it either. Check some sound clip sites.

I was exagerating the "duh duh duhh." The whole sound clip in that vid is the kind of stuff I'm looking for. The whole erie build up suspense clips.

I heard the suspence build up, just not the DUH DUH DUHH specifically. You should ask Lincoln where he got it.

That video was great. Man, that really made be chuckle.

I didn't hear the dun dun dunnnnnn either, but stuff like that is usually done with music. I have done sound design like that, and usually use a lot of water, metal, and glass. I design the hell out of them so they don't sound like what they started as.
