Greetings! I stumbled upon this cable and I'm trying to figure out what it's used for, if anyone has any insight I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Digging deep into memory here, that rectangular black connector looks like the one used on a consumer Panasonic 7" LCD that was originally meant for car installs. I used to have one on my old Aaton package more than a decade ago. I recall that the Star Trek: Enterprise TV series used them as set dressing monitor displays littered all over the bridge set.

Anyway, that custom ARRI Media cable would be to get power & video to the monitor and the other cable is the original that came with the monitor.

EDIT: Found a picture of one, just for the hell of it. Time has seriously passed this bit of technology by. It's a pretty crap monitor by today's standards.

That looks like the one I had packaged up with my BVW-35 back in the day. Made a nice little screening set-up for producers that packed up into a Pelican. I do remember it having a multi-pin break-out cable like that for signal and power.
