My Thanks to Fellow DVX Users...

Thanks to everyone who answered my questions on this board. You have succeeded in winning over another moviemaker and got another DVX100A owner in your ranks.

I ordered mine today from Willoughbys.com for $3300, (hopefully that's a decent deal), and it has shipped.

Something new will probably be out in a month, but all moviemakers should be glad that Panasonic engineered a feature we actually need, 24p, in an affordable camera. I am glad to take part in something new.

Another thing--if the image quality is great and unique like all of you say, there's no need to fret about new technology and your camera being, "outdated". 24p seems to be a great leap from 30i video, and if the image is great and unique, so too is the camera that creates it. I know many of you probably still have a good old Super 8mm camera sitting around somewhere. If you dusted it off today, you'd still have a unique collection of images tomorrow. New digital camera models are released everyday, but some people still swear by Polaroid cameras because they just love the aesthetics of its images.

You never know, in ten years we may all look back on the DVX100 as a legendary and revolutionary camera. That's how we see it now...

New cameras are coming and they will never stop coming. Whether the DVX100 lives or dies, soon or ever, depends more on what we all do with it.

Good luck on your projects, and thanks again!
